It’s not the prettiest looking dish but trust me...
it tastes great, it’s super healthy, and it's so easy to make!
1 package
of dried split peas
1 small
yellow onion, diced
1 cup
diced carrot
1 cup
diced celery
8 cups
broth
1-2
cloves of garlic
2 tsp
white vinegar
Add the
broth to a large soup pot and bring to a boil. Dump in the peas, ham (if you’re
using it), diced vegetables, garlic and vinegar. As it boils down continue to
season with salt and pepper.
The longer the soup cooks the thicker it will get! You could also place all of the ingredients into a crock pot and on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6.
